Savings Accounts safe?

There is so much good information on this sight. Thanks to the Moderator and so many others for your time and care for others.
My question is simple -- I closed my checking account. However, I have a savings account and my daughter has a savings account at the bank that the PDLS have on file. Are our savings accounts safe? We both are now using the savings accounts for our direct deposits. Thanks!

Someone else will probably be able to give you better information than I about this; I would think it might depend on the bank. Have you talked to the bank manager as to whether anyone would be able to make withdrawals from your savings? I wouldn't think so but I don't really know.
