I have 7 payday loans in MD that I have defaulted on in MD, I don't know if some are payday loan companies or if some are CSO's with the exception of one. I have read all the information that has been out out in the forum and I have closed my account and things of that nature. But I am worried about what comes next and need more info for my state. The loans I have are with, Cashnet USA, Cashjar, Kingston Financial, Check N Go, Nationwide Financial, Advance Me Today, and United Cash. I have paid something on some of them like United, Check N Go, and Nationwide. I have paid a few rollover fees with CashNet USA but the others have gotten nothing. I did a little research online and found that Nationwide and Advance Me are headquartered in St. Vincent so I'm thinking they can't possibly be legal here in the states.

PPLs are prohibited in your state. As for Cashnet USA, you should ask for a payment plan and they might give to you. The payment plan is extended for about 3-4 payments.

Check N GO is a member of the CFSA and will offer you Extended Payment Plan (EPP), if you ask for it.

Cash Jar, Kingston Financial, Nationwide, Advance Me, are all illegal in your state. Click on the following link to know how to deal with illegal lenders: http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/illegal-pdl-dealings.html

Thanks for the info I have followed all of the steps you have listed but have not filed any complaints with anyone but my bank to try and recoup some of my money which I was successful in getting about $265 back through a filing of fraud against United Cash Loans. I have sent letters to everyone except Check N' Go and Cashnet USA. I have actually defaulted with CashNet USA but the loan will be in default as of 9-24-10. I have exhausted all of my extensions with CashNet USA and they gave me a courtesy skip payment about 2 weeks ago so I doubt that they will work with me, I owe them a little more than $1000. I only owe Check N' Go about $273.00 but I have refinanced the loan several times and feel that they have gotten their share. What do you think they wuld do if I did not pay the balance. I will send a letter to CashNet USA before the times comes for them to get their money and let them know that I will be sending them a money order once a month for whatever I can afford. I am getting my cell number changed as well because they are calling that and sending me e-mails as well. I thought about changing that as well. I'm not sure they have called my job yet because I work the third shift. One things is for sure I will never put myself in this situation again. Do you know anything about a company called Elastic I have one with them to but I am not scheduled to make a payment until the 24th and plan to pay them in installments as scheduled. I plan to file bankruptcy as soon as I can find an affordable lawyer who will work with me on payments and that may take some time. What's the worst that could happen for me in MD if I don't repay these loans? The only one I am not worried about is United because I have paid them $735.00 on a $350 loan so they will not be getting anything else. I noticed that the address for Cash Jar is Belize City, Belize CA is that outside the United States?
