Hi everyone - how can I find out if a payday loan company is licensed in my state? California.

are they internet or storefront? have you checked your state law

Bakerjon, state laws will not show the OP if the PDL companies are licensed or not.

Hi OP, please give us the following details which will help us to tell you if they are legal or not:

# of Loans
Lender
Amount Borrowed
Amount Paid (Including interest and fees)
Number of times you extended the loan
Whether the loan was obtained online or in a store front
