Can I be arrested for not paying back a payday loan (cashnetusa)

CashNetUSA is not a payday loan company. It's a credit services organization. You can't go to jail for not paying them. It's not a felony. But, they can sue you. Call CNU's corporate offices and set up a payment arrangement with them.

If you live in Texas you can be charged if they can prove intent! I do not know of any other state where that can happen. It would mean that you took the loan or wrote a check with the intention of fraud. Hard to prove in the case of a loan.

Definately call CashnetUSA as they have been having an issue with an illegal lender calling on accounts representing themselves at the original creditor. There is suppose to be a warning on thier homepage regarding this situation.

Thanks for the information. I filed Bankruptcy about a month ago and they weren't included, but I am going later on this week to include them.
