Dear Nelly,

I was in a car accident in November of 2008 at night. A car hit me and ran away from the accident scene. The man came back later according to witnesses. I could not check everything that happened that night.
I was taken to DC Washington hospital for treatment. I had injuries, stayed home more that 6 months, I returned to work because I did not get any support and being with no medical coverage I was a big risk.
My police report was againt me that I was a jay walking at night and the driver could not see me. I was at fault.
No it is not true, I was coming from work and heading home from a public transportation. I was standing on the side walk that is all I do remember. I woke up in the hospital in the earl morning and could not walk, I broke my tail bone son painful. I did not sue and I believe my time is running out. No one will take my case, what to do, please help with this statute of Limitations in Maryland, thanks Mukoko.

Hi!
Welcome to the forums!
Sad to hear your case. I think you should take legal help. Ask your friends and family to recommend a good and experienced lawyer. Don't lose hope. Keep on trying. Anyway, the Statute of Limitations for personal injury is 3 years (beginning from the date of accident).
