I owe Advanta and have not been able to pay since they jerked my interest from 7.99 to 32%. I have been sending only 100 - 150 a month. Of course they call constantly but I don't answer toll free #s. They sent me a letter asking me to call them. Should I? I don't have any new news to tell them since I still do not have enough money coming in to pay them. My question: It seems those not paying at all have stopped receiving calls so I am wondering if I am better off to quit paying rather than sending a small amount every month. What is your experience?

I agree with Soaplady. Basically you are just shoving money down the toilet by paying less than what is owed each month. Stop paying, bank the money, sell some stuff and see if you can settle with them. I don't have experience with Advanta but do a search in the upper right corner and see what comes up that could help you.
