I was going to default on my Check N Go PDL tomorrow (it was due in full) and called the corporate office to see what my options were. I had heard that an EPP is not available in TX because they allow you to rollover 7 times - which the corporate office confirmed. I talked to 2 very nice people who were extremely helpful. They said they could do two things. They could put my account on a temporary freeze for 1 week and if after that week the payment went through and came back to them as NSF I would be sent to collections. However, AFTER you are sent to collections someone will call you and THEN YOU CAN get on a payment plan. So, as she put it, it is like a catch 22. You have to first go to collections before you can get on a payment plan, but at least there is an option for a payment plan! I'm hoping this will benefit some of my fellow Texans in my position. I was worried and they were extremely nice and helpful. Don't be afraid to call and ask!!! The number I called was 800-723-7022 and I spoke to a lady named Tony. Good luck!

My experience with them has been awful! I have been a customer off and on for 2 and a half years. I got loan at beginning of year for $1400, and after renewing it six times at over $300 a month, was not able to pay in June. Went to collections. They wanted $1500. I paid them $500, and then things got worse. I am only paid monthly and they were calling and threatening me and I tried setting up payments in middle of month, and there was no money there. I talked wth them constantly keeping them aware that my situation would get better. Talked to them on August 27th and told them I would make a payment a week later. They said okay. Three days later they sent me to VCS, a collection agency. On Sept 7th I made $100 payment with VCS to show my good faith. Lady said she could settle it for an additional $700, which I did not have. Today, VCS sends me a demand letter wanting $1139, even though I have already paid them $100! Said I have until today to pay it! I have recontacted check no go in hopes of getting away from abusivie collector. Any advice?
