Hello, I've been doing a little research here, and I see that there's a template letter/email to send to these illegal lenders. Could anyone please lend me to the Wisconsin state laws? I am not only going to demand that my account be marked "Paid In Full", but I will be demanding a refund as well. Thanks in advance!

Wisconsin state PDL laws are a little bit tricky. You can get the PDL laws of your state by clicking on the following link: paydayloaninfo.org/stateinfo/WI.asp. Read and understand it well.

As for the sample letter to be sent to the illegal lenders, go to this following link and check out the letter posted there: http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/illegal-pdl-dealings.html.

Thank you! I sent 4 emails already. I am lucky enough to have been given money from my parents to cover everything, but I'm still in for the fight.

has anyone had luck with:

DJR Group
United Cash Loans
USFast Cash
Cashback Payday Advance

so the one thing that scares me is that it almost looks like payday loans are legal in Wisconsin. there's no limit to anything (roll overs, APR, etc...). do i have any leg to stand on?

*update* (sorry, i'm trying to register but the site is having issues)

1. I received a response from DJR Group saying that they'll take me to collections, even though I've already paid more than the principle and interest. I sent them the same letter again twice. I don't know if I should say something else in response to their threat.

2. USFastCash has now blocked me from signing into my account, but they have not sent a response back. Does this mean that I'm in the clear and that they won't try to withdraw any more funds from my account? Either way, I'm still going to pressure them to give me a refund because I've paid waaaay more than I should have.

Looks like payday loan laws are almost non exist in WI. With that said, you would not be due a refund just because you paid them more than you think you should have. You really dont have any legal leg to stand on. You probably should have done a bit more research before shooting off those letters.

hmmm....don't they still have to be licensed in my state, no matter what the laws are?

yeah, i confirmed from the Wisconsin Law website that all 4 of the lenders i sent the email to are not licensed in the state of Wisconsin.

So far, so good. DJR sent me an email stating that they are marking my account "Paid In Full". they also stated that i will not get a refund. i probably could fight this, but i feel fortunate already. i've now sent 3 emails to both USFastCash and UnitedCashLoans, threatening legal action if they do not provide a refund for the amount i've overpaid. i'll keep you all in the loop.

ps. is there a problem with the website, or is it just me? i've been trying to register for over a week now and i just get a "page cannot be displayed" message.
