I thought I was going to have to wait until Friday to open my new account/close my checking, but in talking with a customer service rep on the phone today, he had me call the theft area of Wells Fargo/Wachovia and they were able to RIGHT OVER THE PHONE after verifying me, close my account, provide me a new acct #, assure me they'd in no way be attached, all future attempts would be blocked, order me new checks for free-- AND-- i don't even have to wait two weeks for a new debit card! They let me keep the same debit card since THAT number was never compromised. Now it will only be attached to the new account.I have all my letters ready to be emailed AND snail mailed, certified, tomorrow.I am breathing my first breath of fresh air in months. I will be a little nervous until pay day next week to make sure everything they told me is accurate, though.Thank you again everyone for all of your advice! This board has been a life saver!!Next week's agenda will be filing my complaints with the Dept of banking, BBB, and attorney general.

Absolutely! I will be filing those first thing Monday. This has been so time consuming! I work a lot of hours, at a job I have been laid off from (we're working through the next month until our company closes down our site) to save up OT money to survive for a bit when it's all over, and between paying these creeps all of this money, and now all the phone calls involved in fixing it, I've had 0 time, and 0 funds! Just can't wait until it's all over!

Zip 19 is the first company to respond in writing. I received an email yesterday offering me a payment plan on the principle, which I will not pay because I have over payed them on at least 30 loans so far (every two weeks for MONTHS!). And they reminded me they are bound by European law as they are in Malta, and that my state laws (PA) do not apply to them. I wrote back again stating the loan is illegal in my state and request a paid in full letter immediately. Do you think this was the right move?

Should've mentioned that if they're not obligated to follow YOUR State law, you're not bound by the laws of Malta! :)
No question these outfits will contact you and threaten just about everything to get you to give them more money. But it sounds like you're on the right track. You might even get some "generous offers" from these people to borrow even more money since you're such a good customer; an EXTREMELY obvious way to try and get your new checking account information, hm?
