Please help....I have 2 cash advance's at Cash Express in kentucky. One is for $100 and the other is for $400. They have tried sending the post dated checks through my checking account twice. Caught if the first time and put a stop payment on both checks, they tried to send through a second time. They keep calling and leaving messages about how important it is for me to contact them becuase its fixing to go to the county attorney and i will have to go to court. I have called them back on occassion to try to set up a payment plan but they keep saying they probably won't be able to , only corporate can approve it but probably won't . Talked to a girl from Cash Express today, and she says they have called numorous times and have stopped by my house several times. What should I do? Can they send it to the county attorney and could I have to go to court or jail?
Thanks in advance for any responses.

Personally I would say to them the next time they call "lets get you on a call with the county attorney right now" ... watch how fast they hang up.
Debts are civil...not criminal. Is Cash Express a storefront or Internet PDL?

You need to contact their corporate office to let them know their employees are making bogus threats and you are going to contact your state attorney general's office to file a complaint against them. Threatening you with jail for owing a debt is a crime in itself.
