Receiving machine generated messages from Allied Interstate
Date: Mon, 01/30/2006 - 13:04
I have been receiving machine generated messages from allied interstate that states there is some very important personal information they need to discuss with me and I should call and ask for a particular person. These messages were coning daily for two weeks so I finally called the number and the person announced they were with Allied. I gave my name and asked why they were contacting me and the lady asked for my phone number. I re-stated that I had no idea what they wanted and she asked who my salesperson was and once again I said the message stated to ask for XXX. I said if she could not provide me the nature of the business I did not want to be bothered by the machine generated calls and she said fine, she would remove it. Sure! Next day it is the same message, different phone number and contact name. With this number you cannot get through to talk to a person and they want you to leave your name, phone number, social security number or account number. Sure, I will jump right on that so I left a very to the point message to quite calling me or I would log a complaint with the FCC and FTC. Next day a fax machine called my phone 17 times. I have absolutely no debt in default and never have so why have these vultures latched onto me? I can see why half the states in the union have filed suit against this company.

I had a similar problem with this company...except instead of calling us, they were calling my father-in-laws house...not sure how they managed to get that number. They called 19 times in one day, even though they had already answered and told them they were calling the wrong number. These people WILL NOT remove your phone number...they flat out told me that they do not have to. The best thing for you to do is send them a cease and desist letter, especially if you do not owe them anything. They might be trying to get in touch with someone else through you.

Be very careful here!! Allied Interstate is trying to get serious information from you. Be very specific with the company to whom you give your SSN#
As TMD said, you must send one cease and desist letter and stop the company from calling you. Keep the option open of contacting you through mail only. This way, you will come to know their moves.
You must take some legal help also if the company tries to bully you. Send a debt validation letter as well and know if they are legally working on any of your account.
