Getting calls from CA and Chase?

My question is can a CA call me if Chase cards is still calling me for payment? The thing is I have not answered my phone but my caller id shows that a Portfolio Recovery has been calling me about 3 times a day along with Chase calling me. Im confused, because Im talked to Chase yesterday and they told me my amount I owe but I am unable to pay because of being unemployed but why would a collection agency also would be calling me?

I would suggest answering the phone and finding out what they (Portfolio Recovery) want. If chase has sold or assigned the account, they have every right to call.
