debt consolidation loans

What does a bank require to approve a debt consolidation loan? I have a student loan of $10000 and a credit card bill that is probably pushing $1500 to $2000 due to their interest rates. I got divorced last year and moved 1100 miles to a new place to start fresh and was unemployed for the past 9 months but now have a full time job. Thanks for your help!!

You wont get a consolidation loan for that amount....banks just are not lending it.
