i made payment arrangements with zwicker and asso regarding discover card. bal is down to 400 and change. my issue with them now is the payment arrangements, we had agreeed to 122.50 it was supposed to come out on thurs. and did not so icalled to see what the problem was. so then we change it to
61.45 weekly and the woman i spoke to was to cancel the payment for 122.50 and deduct 61.45 instead all thru the w/e money was never dedected so this morning i went to check my account now i have a 10.00 charge for insuff. funds be cause they deducte 12250 and not the 61.45 so i called up today to speak to someone about it. i was told thay it had come out im looking at my account statement and i see 12250 coming out today and becase not enough $$ it bounced so i tried to tell this to "Mike" what the situation was and all of a sudden he starts getting loud with me and threaten to put me into litigation and then hung up on me now at this point i am pissed off so i called back to speak to a manager. but i cant let it go at that need some advise please.

Call back and talk to a "qualified manager". When did you make the changes?? Who did you do it with?? FYI...with most computer collection systems, every time a collector enters an account, it automatically leaves a footprint or the collectors initials. You need to tell the manager that the higher payment was UNAUTHORIZED and a new payment plan was agreed to. I would also recommend talking to your bank and telling them that the last payment was unauthorized.

well i did call back and got a floor manager when i asked for a dept manager she was no help now they want the 122.50 or they are going to cancel the agreement and sue me for 600.0??? andrea is telling me because i called too late there was nothing they could do and i was telling her that that was not what was told to me. and had i been told that i would have made sure the 122.50 was ther (wich it was on saturday.) but the funds did not come out until this morning. it should not take that long for electronic payments to go through now they want to give me a hard time. about it.
so now i have to cough up 61.45 plus 122.50 that got charged to my acount. to keep from having to go to court. i am already dealing with Daniels pulling astunt like that and now it is a frigging night mare i dont know how much else i can take with these people.

They do not do electronic funds per se. They take you info and basically print out an authorized check in their office. They accounting department does all the payments, which may or may not be on site. Plus they usually require 3 business days notice to change any due dates...this is all pretty standard.

i called on friday. i dont know about the 3 business day bit. all the other payments were coming out on friday in a timeley manner. it's just now being i have 400.00 left on account now they want to f&)_k with me and do this so if there was a misunderstanding they need to go and pull the tapes for friday. bottom line is she never said that she could not cancel this paymnet. period. had she told me that i would have made sure the 122.50 was in there. so if there is a misunderstanding, it is not on me.

Doesnt sound like you gave them enough time to pull the item. As I said, deposits are prepared by accounting, not the collectors. The collector might have put the request in but it was too late. If you call same day as a check is to run, you would definately be out of luck....aint gonna happen.
