Hello,

I have a question regarding debt validation follow up. After receiving a collection agency letter, I responded by sending a DV letter via certified mail. A second collection letter was sent to me dated two days after they received my DV letter (I have the certified return receipt). The second letter claims that I have failed to repond and collection efforts will continue. I am a few days away from the 30-day expiration of my DV request. Is a follow up letter or phone call necessary, or should I wait to see if another letter arrives or phone calls start again?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I wouldnt do anything.

Generally printing is done offsite for a lot of CA's. That letter was probably in the que to be printed. Most certified mail for big companies is received and signed for off site so they would not even have received it in their office until the following day of receipt and then it has to be added into the system. I would overlook that letter.
