I am located in MA and have some case law I want to use but its from GA... Can I still use it... the Plaintiff in this case is the same as in mine

Hello Samaritan,

I am not an attorney, but I would imagine an attorney would ask you how you are trying to use the case law? If you can't find any case law that supports your argument from your state, than I would assume you can put whatever you wanted in your pleadings to convince the judge that you are correct. Whether or not the case law from another state helps the judge see your side will depend on the judge.

I recommend you ask a practicing attorney, but if it were me, I would use anything I could find that supported my position and case law from a sister state, I would think is better than no case law at all. Just my two cents.
