I have 2 loans with pay1day.com. I also have 2 loans with speedycash in texas. Website is speedycash.com. I took it out online, picked up from the store. I can't afford to pay anymore, i am losing so much money. I was able to pay off the other 3 loans i have out with other companies but i can't pay this anymore.
I am planning on closing my account. I just need to know what steps to do and if i should contact them before or after? Are there letters to send before or after? Please let me know what steps to take. my loans are due to come out soon. I can't afford the finance charge plus $ to the principal anymore. It doesn't seem to come down at all when paying by just a little. Please help.

Pay1 Day is not licensed in the state of Texas. You are only responsible to pay the principal amount borrowed. Click here to know how to deal with the illegal lenders: http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/illegal-pdl-dealings.html.

As for Speedycash, they are legal in Texas and you have to pay them back. You can contact their corporate office and ask for payment plans. They might offer you one, which will help you to pay them back.

Do i send them that letter via email to pay1day? THen i make arrangements with them to finish paying the balance correct? Once they do reply? I add up my principal left and just make arrangements for that amount?
For speedycash, do i call them before i default? Or after i close my account?

I am assuming i need to close my account so that pay1day does not take anything else out is that correct?
Thanks

You should close your account to protect it from the illegal PDL. And I would not advise you to send them certified mail since it will cost you more as well as it's time consuming. Send them the letter via email or fax instead. Their fax number is 1-877-878-5878 and their email address is customerservice (at) pay1day (dot) com.

Thank you for your help on that one.

I contacted speedycash and they do not offer any type of extended payment plan, I was under the impression they did, they just to rollover again.

They said they have a collections dept. that handles anything that goes into collections. She said she doesn't know what they offer there. So should i close my account and then deal with the collections dept. there.

yes, close your account ASAP, send a certified letter to them even if they already said they can't do a payment plan, that way you'll keep the records in writing, "just in case" you might need to proof that you did try to pay them back but they refused to cooperate!!! a certified letter, prrofs that they DID received it or by fax, save the delivery confirmation page. i had to write to some of my storefront lenders several times and to the corporate office mainly, When i was dealing with ACE cash express, the store refused to negotiate, but then the corporate office called me and i complained and that's when they agreed to a payment plan directly to them!! good luck

what I wrote on that letter that I sent to my storefront lenders was a simple explanation of what the situation was and why i was defaulting, then i asked nicely for a payment plan option since i did no wanted to be defaulting, but there are sample letters in the DIY tab in the forum. you can just fill in the blanks or add to them by being more specific about what you want and your situation. :)

I dealt with Speedy Cash and filed a BBB report which they reacted to immediately because they would not work with me via email or mail, they wanted to only talk with me over the phone to settle my account after I closed my bank account. I finally worked with a Gloria Tillman gloriatillman@speedyinc.com and settled the account for the principal only, no fees and I made 3 payments. Just stick to your offer and don't back down. They will work with you.

I sent the email to solomon finance about illegal lender and they emailed me back that they took a look at my account and to consider it paid in full/closed. How exciting. i am so happy about that.
Now i need to deal with speedy cash. i will contact them about payment arrangements since they are legal lender.
