Don't provide any information about your account to anyone over the phone. They are, probably, trying to collect on an illegal debt. Ask them to send you a collection letter via mail.

I could not agree more with Guitar Hero!! I am dealing with IAG right now...and they are crazy rude!! They will not give me any documentation regarding my "so called debt" nor will they give me their address or the information about the original creditor. But they want payment right now via CC over the phone . When I pushed them for answers they called me a "liar" and an "exhusband basher" and then said they were going to go down my list of references from the original creditor and call them and bash me and then tell them that because I used them as a reference that they will never get a loan again because of my "bad credit" Unbelievable!!! I want to report these guys to someone but who? I dug up my bank records and found the check number they stay they are collecting on cleared the bank back in 2008. This is such a scam!! What agency can I call? Everywhere I look on the internet people are saying how bad they are..... They need to be shut down!! Any suggestions??
