They said we owed $32 on a radiology bill. Claimed they had called us and spoken to us on a few occasions - nothing that I could honestly recall. (Honestly) The bill is only $32 but I want to verify its my debt that I owe and before I phone in a payment to lord knows who I need to have some credentials here.
Nope - they flat out REFUSED to send me anything in writing about the debt. They said their system won't let them send more than one letter period. Is this right? They offered to fax something, but only if I agreed to pay - and I didn't want to get roped into a scam or agree to pay one bill and be given another.
Anyone know for sure if I can get another statement or something in writing from them?

FYI...,.collection agencies do not provide statements. They make demands based on what the client placed with them.
