CNU - National Credit Works

Dear Forum members,
I am very confused about this issue and not sure how to proceed and could use advice. I have a valid debt with Cash Net USA. When I called them to resolve it, I was told that the debt had been sold to a company called Debt Partners Management. I have called and left a message with them.
In the meantime I received a very nasty call from someone at National Credit Works. After numerous threats of legal action (both criminal and civil), they finally e-mailed me a letter with the debt info, but said that they refused to mail it to my home. My concern is that the debt info listed does contain my correct customer info from the original creditor, but does not list the creditor to whom CNU says they sold the debt. I would like to get this resolved, but am concerned about paying some random company and getting scammed.
How should I proceed to verify that I am paying the correct company?
Thank you!

Sounds to me like they are violating FDCPA. I would send a DV letter and list the violations in your letter so you have a record. File complaints against this company with the BBB, FTC and your state's AG. You could sue them for these violations as well.

For each violations of the Federal law (FDCPA), the debt collectors are liable to pay a fine of $1000. But first, ask them to validate the debt.
