CC debts...just walk away???

I read a book, a few days back, where the author suggested to walk away from credit card debts. He said it is the best solution for many people with too much debt. The book was very convincing, but I'm somewhat nervous. Has anybody else tried it, and if so, what was your experience?
The reason that I am asking this ridiculous question is because I am also having around $41,000 in CC debts. Shall I walk away from it? What should I do? :confused:

No, I stay in a rented house. I don't have anything except my motorbike. I don't know how the CC debts raked up like this.
