I received monies from platinum B services on January 8th of this year my expected debit was 200.00 payment back to this company was supposed to be 260.00.260.00 was supposed to be debited from my account 1/13/06 .
Unfortunately I did not have enough monies to repay in time. I have tried to contact someone in customer service letting them know of when I would be pay which would have been on the 31st of january. Instead someone "foreign" has been calling my phone threatning to send my case to the state attornies office if 555.00 isn't paid I can see now I will have to find a lawyer.

Jess,

Welcome to forums :D

Who is calling you, Platinum B or any collection agency? Ask the collector to validate the debt first. Collect their mailing address and send your letter through CMRRR. This will help you understand if this collection agency is licensed to collect in your state or not, get more info here:

However, if you are getting calls from your creditor, try to convince them about your hardship and enter some payment plan. Payday loans are very very costly. It will be wiser if you pay it in full as early as possible.

One more thing, do not forget to get some written documents against your payments. this will help you to oppose if they come up with some unfair claims in future. Hope this helps, feel free to ask your queries in forums. Also visit this page to know more about Platinum B:
