For all of you student loan debtors
1. before we garnish you we sned you a letter stating you have thirty days to pay, get in a rehab program or W D ford or we will garnish you
2. this letter is sent to your home and work address.
3. We usally make between 20 -30 phone calls to you and try to help get you in the rehabilitation program.
4. It is your fault that you did not pay your student loan not ours, how can you blame some one that gaveyou ample opputunity to pay but you chose to ignore it. Don't you think if you had paid your student loan to begin with you wouldn't be in this postion.
5. Get a damn job. Quit expecting everything for nothingand assuming your entitled to every thing.

You rehabilitation payment would have been less than your garnishment amount 90 % of the time.

It's not that easy, fool> Do you think people WANT to default on their debts?

When a bank makes an UNSECURED LOAN, it's their risk that the loan goes into default. This is basic business 101. That's why credit card companies charge 30% and get away with it.

No one feels sorry for the banks. No one feels sorry for those who default, either. Get over it.

Sorry, but he is dead right except for the last comment. Getting a job can be a issue. However, you can consolidate and get out of default being unemployed. Under income contingent repayment, your payment would be zero, and the loan would still be current.

Sorry Anon, the loan IS secured by the federal government. You need to learn student loans 101.

I was looking for a job back in May, after we moved from DC to Houston. I was having a very hard time keeping where I had applied straight. I literally applied to hundreds of jobs. With all my spare time, I put together a simple website with all the landing pages of the open positions at well over 200 companies nationwide.
For those of you out there, looking for a job. Here's the website:
grantbeehler dot net/jobs.html
Good Luck!
