How does a collection agency get ahold of a person's banking account/routing # and withdraw and amount when it was never approved or authorized by the person or the bank? I don't understand how that is legal. Who the hell is Midland Funding? I tried calling the number provided on this page and it's a disconnected phone number. Seriously???? There's no other information on the web to contact them. Anyone with information or help would be appreciated. Thanks!

A collection agency can't take money from your account if you don't give them info without a judgment. Once they get a judgment, there are companies that specialize in finding bank accounts (I don't know how they do it, but they do).

So unless they have a judgment, they don't worry about it. Now if you give them the info, and say agree to pay $100.00 or some small amount or payment plan, collectors have been known to drain your account clean. This is illegal but they still do it.

Midland Funding is a low-life, junk collector. Try searching here or on google for more info.
