I called the 888 number and a woman answered. She refused to give me her name or answer any of my questions regarding the debt. I asked her to mail a debt verification letter to the address on file and she stated she didn't have to do that. She refused to give me their address. After that she said I need to pay it today and she wasn't going to answer any of my questions and hung up on me.
I filed a complaint online with FTC, anything else I should do? Are they really going to whatever address they have on file or is it just to scare me?

They are just trying to scare you into paying them. This 888 number calls me all the time. Some times I answer and they will say they are Imperial Debt, LLC, other times they say they are the Federal Processor. Whatever. They are idiots. I have asked several times for a fax number, email address or street address and they refuse. I have also told them unless they send me a debt validation letter, I refuse to talk to them. I have been ignoring the calls.

I received a phone call from these clowns this morning around 11:30. The guy that called said that they were Federal Check Recovery and that they had tried to deliver me papers. (Yeah right.) I had to call them back today if I wanted to make restitution, and if not, they'd take me to court for writing a bad check. Yeah right. I've heard this story a million times before and the next summons I get will be my first.
Anyone know if these guys are connection to Federal Check Recovery out of MO or TX? Just curious, because my time playing nice with nasty debt collectors has long passed.

These folks have recently harassed me over a payday loan I never took out. They call repeatedly, threaten to "serve me papers", and take me to court. I have filed complaints with the Dept of Justice and the FTC. I would encourage everyone who has a similar encounter with them to do the same. I received the same type of calls as stated above, a guy calling himself Glenn Miller and said he was a process server and would be out to my job to serve me and when I asked with what and he said he didn't know but he would give me a number to call because they were willing to negotiate with me before he served me with a summons......NOT---what a lie, you have to be DUM to fall for that and that's exactly what these con-artist are depending on.
Tell them you know they are scammers and hang up! Yeah they will call back but Jerk them around like they are jerking you and eventually they will stop.

I filed a complaint with the Washington State Attorney Generals office about these guys after threatening to sue me and refusing to provide me proof of the debt they claim I had. The refused to provide that information to myself still and told the WSAG's office that they have closed my file. (I bet they sold it to another collection agency if they think it is even remotely valid which it is not)
Bottom line, I have no idea what the debt they were going to sue me about was, they refused to provide proof of the debt and I turned them in to my state's attorney general.
DON'T FALL FOR THEIR SCAM IF THEY ARE SCAMMING YOU!! CALL THEM OUT ON IT LEGALLY!!!

Got a call from a Perry Miller who claims to be a private courier and tells me he has papers to serve me unless I call this 888 number and they will call him and tell him not to serve me, Well I told that man to kiss my black a** and to kiss all of my dead family members a**es as well resting at the grave yard." - LOL
Big Scam, i hope he keeps calling so I can insult him some more, says he's gonna come to my home, well that is a very gross error in his better judgement.

Hey folks glad I googled this number before sending these people $800 on behalf of my neice whom sweared she never got the money from this company. I didn't beleive her at first but after reading all these post, I now know every word she said was true. She said, she did apply for a loan over the internet to use for a small down payment on a car but she said, she never got it and that was 11 months ago and now out of the blue some guy started calling harassing her and telling her to call1-888-778-6049 or he would be coming to see her, it got so bad she said he would have her in tears because she thought he would rape her and beat her so she came to me for the money. I almost paid it until I googled this number.
My findings were this
This is just a big scam from some dirt lowlife trash trying to scare someone into paying them. I have contacted the OCC and the FTC, and we filed a report with this number and the will be trying to trace him down and make sure he stops preying on innocent people. Our local police is involved and they very much wanted this guy to come out and serve her some sealed documents he said he had but the coward didn't show, I guess he sensed the police lurking and my brothers that were ready to beat his azz if he messed with her.
I will be the first to say pay your bills ONLY if you owe. They need to get some real jobs because one day they will mess with the wrong person. Well I checked my neices bank records and she never had no deposit. They are liars and bullies trying to intimidate people over the phone. oh and by the way since they stole her info via the internet that made it a cyber crime so homeland security and FBI were contacted and we were told these guys maybe terrorist. Stay alert and please don't send them 1 pennie.

I got calls from these clowns earlier this week. It started with getting a call from a 'professional skip tracer'. Huh? Haha. When I called the number that she gave me to avoid having papers served at my home or work, I started asking questions. That didn't go over very well. It got very heated and this man Christian Garcia started putting all kinds of pressure on me. Then he put me on hold! Haha. I hung up and haven't heard from them since.
