cease phone calls

We have a medical bill that it with a collection agency. I have it set up on payments, we owe it, I've talked the hospital etc. So I know we are paying the right people. My question, they call constantly around the time the payment is due. Can I send a cease & desist letter to stop the phones calls? Or will that mean that they can't collect on it at all and they won't accept my payments?
