collection agency law firm suing me

i am being sued from a collection agency representing a housing management company, me and another person signed a 6month lease and were asked to leave because of a police report concerning the other party i lived with, i am willing to pay my half in monthly installments of what i can afford, i am single mother of 3, will judge accept it or will i lose in court and have to pay all of the amount which is around 2900.00? it isnt fair they are only going after me when the other person signed lease as well, i dont know whereabouts of other person.

It doesnt work that way....you lease does not specify that you would only be liable for half of the lease or charges....you both are liable for it all. May not seem fair but that is contract law,
