Probably not since you are already a charge off..

You probably wont get it removed....you are a charge off and if they are reporting accurately, they dont have to remove it. You can try disputing it but American General can be tough....and they do sue.

I called them just now and they told me my account was sold to Regional adjustment Bureau. I dont see them on my credit report yet, is there a way to pay it off and never get them to show up on there?

You can pay it off but it will stay for at least some years I think.

I had a loan with them for so long- 8 years.
I haven't been able to pay them back in the last 3 months.
They already have a law firm calling me up and sending me letters.

I wrote them a letter for a settlement amount, but they rejected it.

After paying them over $15,000 for borrowing about $7,000 (because I've been paying since 2004), I have paid them enough, considering they charge 25% interest.

I'm writing to the President of the company... let's see where that takes me. If they want to take me to court, it will be their loss in the end.

Try negotiating with them for a settlement. That will be a better option and you will be able to avoid the harassment of a legal case.
