I have always been a good customer and have had a revolving cycle of PDL debt. Who knows how much I've paid in fees ( it's been over a couple of years of continuous loans) Well I had to close my bank account because I could never get caught up and had to pay my mortgage and car payments or I would lose them. Long story short, they are now almost a month past due and I am wondering if they are all legal and if so what's the worse that can happen if I don't pay or can I just make small payments to them. Even making a $50 payment to each, would be $400. So I am not sure what to do. They've been calling and I've sent them letters saying I would make a payment this week.

Sadly, all of your loans are legal. You should be proactive in contacting them and arranging payments. Usually if you make a good faith effort, they are willing to work with you. It would have been better if you had done so before you defaulted, but better late than never.

Advance America, Allied Cash Advance, Check Into Cash are all members of the CFSA and should offer you extended payment plans (EPPs) if you contact their corporate offices. Others will offer you payment arrangements. The problem is, you have to pay them back.

I had already done the EPP with 2 of them and you can only do those once a year. Allied told me they don't have such a thing and I called their corporate office and they said they do do them and would have a manager call me back, no such luck. Ugh I hate this. Thanks for your help

If you have already done the EPP's, and have defaulted on all your loans or are about to I can tell you what I would do if I were in your shoes but I can't guarantee you that they won't turn it over to collections or sue you during the process.
So what would you do and you really think they'd sue me over $30
So what would you do and you really think they'd sue me over $300? One of them just called me and said if I don't call them back they will start calling my employment and references again, ( i've already sent them a letter not to)

I live in OHio and one my storefront loans was from Advance America. The store manager would not help me at all, but the corporate office did. I was able to arrange payments that I could afford. Yes, it took me 4 months to pay off the loan, but I did and will never do it there again!
