Unknown Debt Collector!

A private landlord filed a judgement against me in 2007 for rent he claims I owe. Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010. A certified letter was sent to my place of employment from a company called Atlas Judgement Recovery, informing me they had purchased the judgement from the landlord and basically threatening to collect using the full extent of the law. Never heard of this company. Don't know how they got my employment information. I was not employed at my present employer when I rented the home. The front desk receptionist accepted the letter without my knowledge. She bought it to my office and gave it to me. Can I take legal action against Atlas Judgement Recovery?
