6 Internet Payday Loans - Alabama
Date: Thu, 10/21/2010 - 21:24
Hi,
Hope some can give advice. So glad to have found this forum.
I have 6 pdl -- all internet (no in-store). I am in Alabama
Check n Go - 2 for 500 each (day one paid got another -1 nsf - 1 about to be)
Cash Central - 2 for 500 each (" ")
Ameriloan - 400 (have paid these over 1000 with their automatic rolling) - coming due again 10/29
Cash Net USA 300 (due 10/29)
247 GreenSteet (dba Northwest Financial). Had it for 417. They split it to two payments. One for 208 went through other didn't.
I have got to get out of this mess. Been on this wheel for a year. So ashamed! I have opened an account at separate bank. Spoke to Credit Union and they said to close account, but worried to do so since in Alabama it says closing account may be reason for criminal prosecution. I would like to know if this applies to internet loans.
I want to pay the principle with an arrangement but can only pay like 25-50 to each each payday.
Any advice or insights would be appreciated!

Thanks. On that link it says this:
Criminal Action - Prohibited (A collection agency cannot file any criminal action against a payday loan borrower until and unless the check gets returned due to closed account)
So my question is if I close my account will I be in even deeper trouble. I can't figure out if this applies only to paper checks or are internet loans different?
Thank you again!
