After my initial contact last September when I closed my bank account, and I had told them to submit a proof of license, they finally have contacted me asking to set up a payment plan. Seemingly ignoring my certified ACH letter asking for proof of license in California etc. And ignoring my written statement not to contact me other than email. Nice to see they can read.

I have gone over my bank statements and the initial loan was $550. 00, of which I have paid $950.00. As I see it I should get a refund for $400. Which I will ask for.

The question,
I have for any of you out there is this. When I contact them how should I go about this? I will mention the certified letter I sent over a month ago, I will reiterate my request for proof of license in California, then what? Should I get into the overpayments made, mention that they are not licensed for PDL’s and that their own website states loans not available in the following states, California….? How should I approach this? What 'stance' should I take? Should I come at them off the bat saying "sure I will except payments for the $400 you owe me"?

Any help would be appreciated. -Ken

i wouldn't contact them any other way but via email.they want you to call so they can argue with you.the facts are plain.

1)they are illegal in CA
2)you overpaid on this loan
3)you sent a certified letter which they seemingly are ignoring.

send your letter via email an ungodly number of times, also if you haven't filed AG complaints yet do so asap.do not engage these cretins over the phone.
