I've sent QXL a letter asking for a refund, because I've paid $532 in excess charges. I paid both loans in full, but then was educated on my rights. This was there reply.

Quote:
hank you for contacting us. Please refer to your copy of the Loan Agreement, the loan was not provided from, nor subject to the Laws of, the State of Louisiana. You have made payment, and we have requested payment, in complete accord with the terms of the loan contract that you acceted when taking the loan from us. There will be no refund consideration. Regards, Customer Services

What should my response be?

Have any others aside from wannabe have success. He/she encouraged me to ask, but I'm wondering about the success rate of actually getting a refund.

Thanks!

I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!

Well that was fast. I sent like 5 emails back to back in response to their replies, including FTC complaint reference numbers, etc.

Here's their reply.

As a goodwill gesture, and to enable a resolution to this matter, we will be sending a goodwill payment of $200. This is purely a goodwill gift and not a refund, and in no way should it be considered such. We do not issue checks so it will be sent via ACH to your Bank Account. Best Wishes, S Thompson, Manager, Customer Services

Should I accept or keep pushing for the remaining $332?

FYI...this account keeps very little money in it, so I'm not worried about them trying to get anything out. My credit union doesn't allow overdrafts, thankfully.

The phone number on their website is just some automated system.
Am I out of luck?

It's hard to know for sure. You still have your account open and they have access to it? I wouldn't keep that account opened if I were you, if one Internet payday lender has access to it, they all do.

Hey Shaz,

I mentioned before I actually don't keep much money in this account and thankfully my credit union doesn't allow overdrafting if I haven't requested that option, which I didn't (i made sure and checked with the manager). I have another account in which no one has access to. I kept this one open for the sole purpose of seeing if I can refunds from the illegal PDLs via ACH and if so, afterward it'll be closed.

I just wanted to update this thread in case anyone tries to deal with QXL in the future...I GOT A REFUND! It was for $200. I was trying to get back my entire refund of $532, but I took Shazzers advice and ran with it.
BE PERSISTENT and they will crumble!!
