Just want to know about how they work when you go to collections
I don't know if I been to collections yet no letters has been since and the phones call has die out
I was suppose to pay on the finance charge in Aug 27th but I was unable to due to loss of job. And I was out town for that whole month of Sept.
Now that is Oct and Oct is almost over I haven't heard anything from them
Before I tried calling corp. to get an extension but they wouldn't let me. Also I talked to the Branch Manager and she suggest that I tried debt consolidation place because they don't offer and payment plans
So I don't know what I'm suppose to. Everytime I call the girls in the store act like the cant make no sound decision and refer me to branch manager which really isn't no help
Plz help me and tell me what I need to do
If it were me, I would send them a letter, certified with a retu
If it were me, I would send them a letter, certified with a return receipt requested, in that letter I would outline my plan to pay them off, I would make sure that it was a payment plan that I was able to afford and follow through with, then I would send them a good faith payment with that letter. I would continue to send those payments as promised. Basically, by the time it actually went to a court of law I would most likely almost have it paid off, and even if I didn't, it would show the judge that I was making the effort to do so. Just a suggestion.
Do you have any copies of a letter I can use.. I got a cease and

First, CIC will not sue you.
Now don't waste time with a certified letter. They will send you to thier collections dept when your account is more than 30 days past due on the 4th of the month. They can and will offer you an EPP (if available in your state) as long as you meet the guidelines. After the account is sent to collections, they will deposit the check if the account is open and then begin calling. Once the collections dept starts working the account, they are good with arrangements.
Don't overthink this and make it more difficult than it needs to be.

Based on the information the OP gave, they're way past the guidelines for the EPP, that is why I didn't suggest it. Anyway, you know more than I how Check into Cash operates. Not so sure I would risk being sued or turned over to collections, even still, at least the effort was being made to pay off the account and I would have the documented proof. Just sayin!

Once again, Shazz, your know better than I. If you want to advise this poster to waste money on unnecessary steps, go right ahead. I spent many years with this company and assisted formulating many of thier procedures. You, solely, are one of the main reasons that I have reduced my advice, because YOU are never wrong. Just ask...
Good luck to the OP on dealing with CIC. If you follow my advice, things will work out. Please feel free to send me a PM if you have any questions about how to proceed or who you need to speak to for assistance. I will be more than happy to assist without "distractions".

By the way, for some reason you always tend to suggest that I am trumping your advice, I'm not sure why, but that isn't at all what my intentions were. I was not being sarcastic when I stated that you would know better than me - how Check into Cash operates.
I was offering different options for the poster, it isn't a matter of who is wrong or who is right, but I thought you (of all people) realized that.

This is a piece to the problem that in my opinion is much larger than this one thread.
Move on since you took it to PM.
