CPD is now saying that I owe them $1006.93. I have done most everything I have read on here to do: sent them C/D letter, reported them to different agencies, already closed my bank account. What do I do now? they will continue increasing amount that they say is owed. CPD has purchased my debt from PayDayMax and they are in Nevada, or at least they were last time I checked, I am not really sure where they are now...I cant afford to pay them any money and they are now wanting over $1000 from me and more as this increases. PayDayMax has taken enough of my money from a previous loan I had from them. They took way over $600 as finance charges from me then. I am in the process of trying to avoid filing chapter 7, trying to get my regular bills caught up because of these PDL companies, but if they all start to sue me and try to take me to court, there is no way I can even afford any of that. Does filing bankrupcy put a stop to these PDL companies?

well for one thing the NV address is a mail drop.they are not located in this country.they can't and won't do anything.you say PAYDAYMAX took over 600.00 before default.what was the original loan amount for?if it met or exceeded the 600.00 you owe nothing.if the principle was greater than that deduct the 600.00.i'm betting you have not filed AG,OR FTC complaints yet.do so now,and stop talking to this botoomfeeding bunch of criminals.that is what they are.if you are filing CH7 BK because of this reconsider as shazz posted no pdl is legal in NC and they won't comply with the BK anyhow.file the copmplaints and ignore them.
