I have never really heard of the actual creditor going to the clients door as a collection agent. Usually they will send certified letters or a courier. ANd then if anyone shows up at the door it would ususally be a process server. I would think a reputable company would not actually do this. Have you ever checked them out on the BBB or Googled their name with complaints in the search bar? What is the name of the company?
