I just sent this note to forum administrators because there is someone here giving out obviously false and misleading information who feels necessary to close threads when her erroneous answers are challenged.

YES, anonymous phone calls are harassment. See below what I was going to post on my own thread of the same subject but Soap Lady said END OF SUBJECT, meaning.

SHE CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH.

Your forum is very helpful, being hassled by Soap Lady is not. She is giving out erroneous information about what constitutes a harassing phone call. I complained of a harassing anonymous phone call pattern which she says is not harassing, that instead its my fault for not fulfilling my obligation to answer my phone to anonymous callers. THERE IS NO REQUIREMENT TO ANSWER YOUR OWN PHONE TO PEOPLE APPEARING ANONYMOUSLY. Contrary to what she says I am not being unfair by not waiting on hold on MY PHONE PAID FOR BY ME when I get a call on MY PHONE TELLING ME TO HOLD (excuse me?)

I submitted legal opinions and was about to reference the statute verifying my claim when she closed the conversation which will be see as either this place gives out wrong information or that she is so insecure that a thread where she is proven wrong is intolerable to her.

Either way. SHE is very annoying. I have come here looking for help and trying to help others while her goal as far as I am concerned is to challenge and belittle every statement I make.

I suspect I will be banned very shortly which would be sad unless you want people to believe that unless the answer the phone they paid for to any and all anonymous callers that they are wrong.

I have had enough grief of late with a lying judge and now it seems like the grief and harassment continue because of Soap Lady. Do you want someone to give false information and then close the thread? Why close the thread after she has her say so.

There's an idiot born every minute. I'm not one of them. I don't buy snake oil nor swamp land in Florida.
It defies LOGIC (you do know what logic is I hope) that everyday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. I get a phone call from an anonymous number and that it is just a "wrong number".

If you WERE a bill collector and now you are not, probably its because you got fired for making harassing phone calls.

§ 223. Obscene or harassing telephone calls in the District of Columbia or in interstate or foreign communications




(a) Prohibited acts generally Whoever—
(1) in interstate or foreign communications— (A) by means of a telecommunications device knowingly— (i) makes, creates, or solicits, and
(ii) initiates the transmission of,
any comment, request, suggestion, proposal, image, or other communication which is obscene or child pornography, with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass another person;

(B) by means of a telecommunications device knowingly— (i) makes, creates, or solicits, and
(ii) initiates the transmission of,
any comment, request, suggestion, proposal, image, or other communication which is obscene or child pornography, knowing that the recipient of the communication is under 18 years of age, regardless of whether the maker of such communication placed the call or initiated the communication;

(C) makes a telephone call or utilizes a telecommunications device, whether or not conversation or communication ensues, without disclosing his identity and with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any person at the called number or who receives the communications;

Clearly soapy lady is all washed up, she's an EX Bill Collector, wow, am I rubbing elbows with some highly educated, high-society people or what?

Advertising yourself as an ex-bill collector doesn't impress me in the slightest. It just explains why you are so annoyingly persistent or persistently annoying.
