First off, I'm not a deadbeat. Some of these people refer to people as deadbeats for not being able to pay debt and they have no right, their situation is most likely totally different from mine. I was trying to get a decent job for a very long time but all are just minimum wage, i was forced to move home because of a car accident and my gap insurance didn't cover the remainder. I'm sure this is what ARS is calling about. I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY!!! My family doesn't have the money! I'm working a minimum wage job a few days a week and taking care of my sick grandmother the other days! I am far from a deadbeat. I'm trying to get my life back in line and if i pay this money now, there is no way in the world I will ever get my feet back on the ground. I have goals set to get back in school and get a much better job. This Frustrates me!!! If they garnish my wages, they are taking the little bit of money I am surviving on. Esp when the Gap insurance was supposed to cover the wreck. I avoid these ARS people at all costs because I will not be talked in circles when I'm at a breaking point as it is!!!!!! I understand they want their money but I DON'T have it!!! I have all intentions of paying it, WHEN I HAVE IT!!!!! If they will back off and let me get back in school, move back to the state where i lived before and get back to the work I was in before, then i will be able to pay! Until then, they aren't getting anything from me!!!! If they do take the little bit i have they are more or less killing me!
Thank you for your time!!

Send them a letter telling them to cease communication with you. In the letter tell them to send you a dunning statement telling you what you owe to whom and how they arrived at the amount. do not admit to anything. Once you get it in writing send them an offer of what you can pay and make it low. Or tell them you are destitute and can't pay anything. If they feel you are a waste of time they will move on to an easier target in most cases.
