I recieved a call from a lady named Ms. Williams this afternoon at work stating that she was from this company and she was wanted to see if I wanted to settle a payday loan debt before they sent it to my county to see if I could be brought up on criminal charges for a hot check. I kind of knew something was wrong when the woman didn't state the " this is an attempt to collect a debt slogan" plus she used the term "hot check. I recognized the company she was speaking of but I recall paying that loan off last year some time. So when I asked her what my balance is she told me my original balance was $400 and now after a year it is $1209; wth! I then asked her why is it that if I still owe on this debt that the company has not contacted me in a year. I took down her name and the name of the company. I went to the pay day lenders website to find a number to call them to confront them on this and the numbers didn't work. Then I went on to 1st integral recoveries website and none of the numbers work. I have not heard from this woman for the rest of the day but I am wondering if this is a legit company? I have been scammed by collection companies before and paid out money only to find out it was a scam. Can someone shead some light on this for me?

do a search under FIRST IRS in the bar.this is a scamming bottomfeeder.first they threatened you with arrest as a "hot check"and sending it to county is.also you are entitled to something in writing when you ask for it.do not pay them.instead when this person calls again demand something in writing.state you will not speak to them again until this happens.next file a police report as she broke the law with that one call.then file AG,AND FTC complaints against this place.above all else do not speak to them without getting a letter first, and do not think about paying them as debts are civil matters and again she broke the law in threatening you like she did.
