I am planning to file Chapter 13 bankruptcy. My unsecured debt amount is $250,547. I am a government employee. Can i qualify for Chapter 13 bankruptcy?

It sounds like you should be sitting down with a bankruptcy attorney and have him go over your finances and explain things to you. Consultations are generally free. Chapter 13 should not be done without an attorney.

Under the bankruptcy laws, one can qualify for Chapter 13 bankruptcy if his total unsecured debt is within $360,475. Since your unsecured debt amount is within that, so I don't think you'll have any problem to qualify for bankruptcy provided you fulfill the other criteria.
