Plain and simple, this is personal and even petty but I don't care anymore. I have been hounded and harassed by debt collectors and I've had it. I now know my right and I am fighting back.

The thing is, I am bankrupt. I know it and there is nothing I can do. Right now I figure I can file today or I can file tomorrow. It makes no difference.

So my question is, I want to punish any debt collector or lawyer that comes after me. I want to cost them as much money as possible and I want them to work extra long hours going after me. If they win, I file bankruptcy. If they figure out they are fighting a losing battle and leave me alone, that is just as good.

Am I breaking any laws by doing this? What if I outright tell a lawyer my plan, can they use it against me?

Petty I know but so many people get harassed and abused I just want to go down fighting and make it as costly as I can for any debt collector or lawyer that comes after me.

Since it is quite evident that you don't have sufficient financial resources to pay off your debts, you may file bankruptcy. But bankruptcy will hurt your credit score big time. it will remain on your credit report for 7-10 years. So, think twice before filing it.

It is not illegal to fight a case. But my suggestion will be to negotiate with the debt collectors instead of fighting with them. May be they can help you. They can provide you an alternative repayment plan. However, if you feel that they are breaking any Federal law, then feel free to file a case with State's Attorney General or FTC.

Typical loser from one collection agency or another. Acting as if collection agencies are pure as the driven snow. Oh but of course you are one of the "good" guys from one of the "good" collection agencies, I'm sure.

Nothing pisses off a debt collector than someone who is informed and is not scared off by their lies and cheating. More and more people are fighting back. It is nice to see people like Chris no longer taking collection agency harassment.

Now we will have to read about the collection agency loser makes all this money, is not some chain smoking fat slob with no life looking to steal ass-pennies from old ladies, hoping to keep the CA's off their own back just a few days longer.
