One or my husband's credit cards has been turned over to a debt collector. This person is now viewing our bank account and knows what we are paying out each month, Is this legal? Also he says he can put a lien on our assets, I thought credit cards are unsecured debt. Is he using scare tactics or is this a new law?

How can the debt collector view your bank account? Credit cards are unsecured line of credits. So, the debt collector can never lien the assets. Don't worry about it. He is just trying to scare you.

I completed the debt settlement jopurney and they never mentioned my banking accounts.
I think they may be pulling your credit report to see which ccc's are being paid.
It's a bluff.
