A little background. I am in PA, I secured my account, sent letters, and got a response from one of my lenders who I overpaid by $250.00 They did give a PIF, but declined the refund. A week later I sent another letter demanding the refund again and got the same PIF letter in return. This week I sent a new letter containing stronger language and enclosing copies of my AG and DOB complaints and I filed with the BBB. This time I got a response telling me that my request is being referred directly to the lender and they will contact me.

What do you think that means? Is it a good sign? The lender is Magnum Cash Advance.

Send Magnum a copy of the letter from the DOB along with a demand letter from yourself requesting a PIF letter and refund. Send it via email, fax and USPS certified mail. That way you have a receipt from each of these methods to prove that the information was sent to them. I did this very thing with Great Sky and received a check yesterday for $625.00. You have to be persistent.
