Another case for closing your account ASAP

A thought came to me recently while I was going through this processing of reclaiming my finances from these PDL idiots. When I applied for my payday loan with Everest Cash Advance I had two checking accounts. One that I used for my primary bills and one for school expenses. When I completed the application I gave them the school expenses account and just figured that I could pay them back by transferring the funds from my primary account a couple of days before the payment was due. Immediately after submitting my online application to them, a representative called me at work and said that the account I had used didn't have direct deposit and that they could not extend a loan to me with this account. I then gave them my primary account number where I received direct deposit and she proceeded to verify this account with me on the line. She must've called telephone banking on conference because the automated system began to run down all of my transaction history. That whole exchange made me uneasy but I went through with the loan anyway.
It then occurred to me that they have all of my personal information and account information and can easily pretend to be me and access my funds as long as my account remains open. Think of all the things you can do with telephone banking and most banks allow for transactions to be done via telephone banking and usually only require your DOB, SSN and account number. This made me feel even better about closing my account and I admonish others to do so asap. If your bank manager won't comply, let them know that there could be fraudalant activity and even identity theft because these blood suckers now have access to your personal and financial information. With your personal and account info, they can call up anytime and find out what you have in your account and make changes possibly. I wouldn't doubt what these companies will do to continue to try to drain your account and ruin your life. I have closed my account and moved to a new address since obtaining the loan with them. And just to make me feel even better, I flagged my social security number so that I am notified directly if any funny business happens on my credit report.
This was just a thought I had and wanted to share in case it will help anyone who is trying to get out of payday hell and needs to close their account.

Thanks for the post Jitterbugg. Yes, this is the reason why all of us ask others to close the account ASAP once the account information is hacked.
