Ok, I have seen a template of a letter to send to the PDLs regarding canceling wage assignment.What do I need to do with my payroll dept at work?


Give a copy of the signed letter to your HR/Payroll department. I've seen/heard that some HR/payroll departments will take a generic one (I revoke any/all wage assigments that I may have signed prior to today's date) others will require the specific companies to be named. I believe I've read that they are required to notify you immediately if they receive a request to assign your wages. However, this may be incorrect. To be safe I'd be proactive and give them the letter ASAP.
