1) Do some IPDLs simply create their own loan applications once they get your info from somewhere else?
2) I know I can get a credit freeze, but this won't stop PDL companies from trying this crap, right?
3) How do i find out where they got the info for my "loan ap?" CashNetUsa tried this months ago (I started a thread about it, can't find it now) and said who they got it from. Any ideas on what to do?
The acct tied to these "apps" is closed, but I just want the PDLs to leave me alone! Thanks!

Are you sure someone else is not doing this with you? What I mean is, someone whom you know is signing for the loans. I think you have been a victim of identity theft.

that's what I'm trying to figure out. but even if I file reports and freeze my credit, an ID thief will still get away with this right? The PDL called me at work, why would an ID thief give them a real number?

Have you ever had a loan with them before? If so did you pay them off? If you owe them money this is one way for them to get your bank account information and if you don't they use this tactic to get new customers. I get emails all of the time, thank you for filling out your application today knowing full well I didn't fill one out. I've even gotten calls at home. They are trying to get your information. As long as you've not filled one out, and they do not have your banking or personal information other than contact info you should be fine. Could be a matter of them trying to generate business. They don't contact me any more because PDL's are illegal in my state of AZ.
