I currently have a title loan with this company and in July 2010 their license with the AZ Dept of Financial Institutions was closed. I've had nothing but trouble with the company, my monthly payment and due date continue to change each month, none of the payment is going to principle, and they are holding the title to my car. Is there anything I can do? I owe $1,800.00 and I wish I could pay that off it would solve all of my problems, but that's not an option right now. Of course out of all the payments I've made it's close to the $1,800.00. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Have you tried asking for a reduction in your payments, also ask if they will rewrite your contract so you can start seeing a decrease in your balance?

Honestly, I have never dealt with a title company, but I use to work with a girl who also worked for a title loan company, she said they would rather work out a payment plan because they lose a lot of money trying to sell repossessed vehicles.

The employee's in the store front are idiots at best so I will try calling their corporate office to see if I can get any where. I have no issue with paying back the principle amount borrowed and interest but when $285.50 per month goes to nothing it will be impossible to pay this off within a reasonable amount of time.

Thank you for the information Shazzers!

I've read a lot of posts from other members stating the same thing, seems like it's becoming more and more prevalent, recently. I have to wonder, what were the manager's thinking when they hired these people who behave as though they have little or no education. :p

Allied Cash Advance in AZ for the town I live in is a nightmare. Not only did the Dept of Financial Institutions close their license on July 7, 2010 I tried to talk to the manager on Fri to find out why my due date and payment amount each month keep changing because my original contract is very clear that my due date and payment amount are to be the same every month. Her response was lets go over each month, when you paid your payment and for how much. I told her I know exactly when my payments were made and for how much. She further stated your payment is changing because you've been late. My payment is suppose to be $285.50 and it's now $267.00. I told this dumb person my payment is going down not up! To make a long story short, I was so frustrated when I got off the phone, I was upset and almost in tears when a business contact just happened to call me right at that moment, asked what was wrong. I explained everything and before I could get off the phone the money to pay off my title loan of $1,840.00 was in my pay pay account. This Fri when I get paid I will be able to pay off the original amount borrowed and their finance fee for the past 30 days and get my title back. I do have an angel looking after me and I feel as though I owe so much of my good fortune lately to this forum. Without it I would of never gotten out from underneath my illegal PDL's and this title loan. Thank you to all!

Over Thanksgiving weekend I went to Allied Cash Advance and paid off my car title loan! What a great feeling to have a friend / business associate come to my rescue and give me the money needed to pay them off. Now I pay $100.00 per month interest fee to someone that I know and can trust.
