I am going to keep a log on here of what happens as I go through this process of dealing with illegal PDLs.

11/12/10
emailed my payroll dept to inform them to prevent wage assignments.
closed checking acct. and opened new acct.
emailed all PDLs the form letters. I marked them so I got a delivery receipt and a read receipt.
got one read receipt

11/15/10
received confirmation from payroll they will not honor wage assignment requests.
phone call from loanpointusa 11/15/10. ignored call, they left a message.
got an email from loanpointusa 11/15/10 stating they had received my letter and asking me to call. I responded, as indicated in the letter, I will only correspond via email.

11/16/10

it seems my email to mycashnow.com has not been delivered as I keep getting emails stating so every few hours.
got an email today from CreditProtectionDepot.com (CPD) stating:
We have received notification from your bank that the funds you had agreed for us to debit for the repayment of your loan obligation, have returned. It is imperative that you contact us immediately to resolve this matter. Please call 1-866-645-1661 today. Thank you.
I tried to reply to the email, but it was undeliverable. So I called the number and told them I was not communicating about the matter via the phone but wanted an email address, the person would only give me a fax number. I faxed the letter to them.
While I was doing that, CPD sent me another email with ACCOUNT FROZEN WARNING (Oh no, not that! ) Basically, the email is a demand for payment. BTW, this is one PDL that owes me a refund.

will update as events unfold

Stick to your demands! Everything in writing so you have a paper trail. Phone conversations are a waste of time. Don't forget to file the complaints with the AG, FTC and BBB in your State. If you've paid over and above the principle balance demand a refund and paid in full letter. I did this very thing and so far I've received one refund over and above the amount I paid. I was sure to send each of my PDL's confirmations from the AG of the complaint filed and so far it seems to have stopped them dead in their tracks.
