Can you continue to pay your original debtors if they've turned your account over to a collection agency?
A lot of people continue to send payments to the original credit
A lot of people continue to send payments to the original creditor which is fine if the account is assigned 3rd party....some creditors send the actual payment to the CA, others just report a direct payment. The creditor is contractually bound to pay commision to the CA regardless of where you send it.
If the account has been sold to a junk debt buyer, the original creditor no longer owns the debt so sending them a payment could complicate matters.
