Hi All, We are being sued by dogged attorneys representing Citibank. We downloaded the appropriate forms to respond to the civil complaint--via Jay Johnson, kind of a self proclaimed guru on these matters. So the Answer, Certificate of Service, etc. was all filed within the allotted time period. And we expected the next correspondence to be in the form of a court date.
No such luck! We got this motion instead and affidavit instead.
Do you guys know what we should do now--and if so, where do we get the forms? The county clerk said to get a lawyer...is that really necessary?
Our goal is to get Citibank in court, one on one. So far we have tried to work out payment arrangements with the attorneys, but they aren't interested. I think their goal is simply to get a judgment against us so they can garnish wages etc.
Thanks for the advice! Eagerly awaiting...

Citibank has been calling for a few months now. I am out of work and I don't have any real assets yet I am worried about Citibank. I got a "final" call the other day and nothing since. I've been following ths board for a week now and wonder should I send Citibank a letter asking for arbitration before I get served?

I have recieved a couple of letters giving me a ultimatum plus a change in contract terms. The contract still has arbitration options. I am thinking I should should opt-out of the new contract and state that I elect arbitration.

Or should I just wait?
